assured that you will love our Pack. Scouting is all about encouraging key
qualities: responsibility, discipline, teamwork, self esteem etc. We are devoted
here at Pack 218 to making your Scouting experience as positive as possible.
Pack 218 is chartered by S.S. Peter & Paul Church. Which means that they
provide a venue for us to meet weekly and have Pack/Den meetings. Your child
does not need to be Catholic to attend Scouts-Scouting is for everyone!
** We also work closely with Troop 26 and Troop 3
involvement. If you don't think that you have the time to be an effective Den
Leader, there are still other ways that you can help. Please offer to assist the
Den Leader in any way you can. Scouting is supposed to be a family activity and
we live by that rule.
As he completes Requirements he will be working towards "Crossing Over" to
the next Rank. At the end of the school year we have a Blue & Gold Ceremony.
It's the Oscars of Cub Scouting-the end of year awards banquet.
The Ranks are as follows:
Tiger Cubs: Grade 1
Wolf: Grade 2
Bear: Grade 3
Webelos I: Grade 4
Webelos II: Grade 5
Then your Scout becomes an Official Boy Scout. Your Scout may also earn his
Arrow of Light at that time, which is the highest award in Cub Scouting.
