members. In the last year, Pack 218 has very effectively succeeded in revamping
our Pack Committee and starting fresh. The following lists our Pack Committee
Members. Although the Pack and Troop operate independently, we are both
chartered by SSPP Church and are therefor ONE FAMILY.
All Leaders are also on the Committee.
Committee Chairperson: We need a new Committee Chair for 2008-2009
The Committee Chairperson is the individual that is ultimately responsible for
reporting to the Council about Pack 218, it's progress and it's financial stability.
He/She attends all of the Roundtable meetings and various other Scouting events.
He/She also works with the Pack Secretary/Treasurer on a regular basis.
Pack Secretary/Treasurer: Jen Humphrey
The Pack Secretary /Treasurer helps keep the Pack organized and running
smoothly. Jen is basically the go to person for anything that needs to be handed in
(field trips, fundraiser money , enrollment etc). She also assists the Den Leaders
with anything they may need and forwards information to other Committee
Members accordingly. Jen also sends weekly emails to keep parents abreast of
changes and upcoming events within the Pack.
CubMaster: Art Somma
Art is our new CubMaster this year. He succeeds Jeff Humphrey, who was outgoing
on February 9, 2008. The CubMaster is basically in charge of all the Scouts.
Everything should be run by him for approval and then he will bring it to the other
Committee Members. The CubMaster is also in charge of running the Pack
meetings and making any announcements. He also attends Roundtables and any
additional training.
Assistant CubMaster: James Arroyo
The Assistant CubMaster is the wing man of the CubMaster. When one can't be
there, the other one is. The AC is more or less being groomed for CubMaster.
Advancement Member/Ceremonies: Ursula Arroyo
Ursula is in charge of planning all of our large events such as our annual
Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold, and also our new annual Ziti Dinner Fundraiser.
She also keeps the Scout closet stocked and organized with Jen. Her mother and
step-father, Ann and Tony Veneziano, own their own catering business and they
have been wonderful with our Pack with our festivities.
Outings Member: Elaine Remillard
Elaine is in charge of planning all of our field trips. She is also responsible for
filling out all required Tour Permits and insurance info for these trips as required by
the Council. If a Den Leader wants to plan a trip, he must go through Elaine first
and she will make it happen for them.
Camp Co-ordinator: Jennifer Lindsay
Jen is one of our active mother's who attended camp last year and has volunteered
to not only attend again but to organize all of the applications, camperships,
medical forms, transportation for each Scout and parent attending camp. More

Welcoming Committee: Nancy Taft and Laura Somma
Nancy and Laura are our helpers to ensure that every parent that walks through our
door gets undivided attention and all of their questions answered. They also assist
Jen in getting forms properly filled out and then do their best to ensure that our
Pack always maintains that warm family/friends/community feeling.
